As a society, where have we gone wrong? Obviously, something changed within us as a people because we see so many horribly, tragic attacks taking the lives of innocent people. Yet, we are agitated for several days and then go back to our normal life, because for the most part, the attack did not directly affect us. How can we accept that behavior on the part of the attacker or the response of society.

This violence is not limited to the US. In fact, it happens more elsewhere than it does in the US. But what I see from abroad is limited and what I see domestically is amplified. I still believe that somewhere, some way, we went wrong. I know historically, there are wars between religious factors. Fundamentalism creates tension throughout the world. But attacking innocents, astounds me and makes me wonder. Can’t we just be kind?
