I have not failed. I’ve just found 10000 ways that won’t work.
Thomas Edison
Edison’s thinking was optimistic. It was progressive. It makes sense. Without failure, how do we learn? The key is to overcome the failure. We must be willing to fall 10000 times. Developing the tenacity to accept failure is a challenge today. We are so comfortable with quick, painless mastery that when we are confronted with obstacles, we stop.
Education is not about mastery. It is about finding obstacles and solving them. Every solution we develop need not be perfect. The more we develop the mental acuity to accept failure and evolve from it, the better chance we have of solving today’s complicated issues.
Keep failing, it shows that you are making an effort.
