A toast

Today would be the 62nd anniversary of my parents’ wedding. It is difficult to believe that dad died 18 years ago and dates like today still influence me. I know the remedy lies in concentrating on the good times and the lessons I learned. The difficult lies in not hurting for my mom. He was her one true love. Through them, I know what love looks like, what it acts like, what it smells like and how it feels. Those are the lessons I learned.

She misses him so.

As we all do.

Please raise your glass to love! It wasn’t perfect, but it was perfect love.
